The manufacturing process of Panarea is the result of artisanal craftsmanship and can lead to shades and color variations between products, making them unique. The technique used to create PANAREA is called “casting.” The name comes from the process of pouring liquid clay, technically called “slip,” into a mold. The creation of the plaster molds is entrusted to master artisans who can craft modular elements, forming a hollow shape into which the slip is poured. Plaster has absorbent properties, so it dries the slip, bringing it to a clay-like solid state, but the piece can only be removed from the mold once it has reached the “leather-hard” stage. At this point, the piece is ready for the first firing, and this process results in the biscuit. The biscuit has a white appearance and an absorption rate, and it is then glazed using manual airbrushes.
We proceed with the second firing, which brings the product to its final finish.

For the creation of Panarea, a white clay is used, mixed with 30% chamotte, which increases the strength of larger pieces. Chamotte is made by recycling previously dried ceramic pieces that would otherwise be considered waste.
The drying of the piece is forced only by sunlight or by using the heat dispersed during the firing stages, which reduces the consumption of electricity or gas. Solvents are not used in the production processes; instead, everything is carried out using water, which is recycled in the production process thanks to a purifier.

The slab manufacturing process is the result of artisanal craftsmanship and can lead to shades and color variations between products, making them unique.

This material consists of natural lava stone that has undergone a ceramization process and then been glazed with a glossy finish. This combination provides a durable, easy-to-clean, and highly aesthetic surface. The lava stone gives a natural appearance, while the glossy enamel adds a touch of elegance and extra protection against stains and wear.

The weavings, skilfully hand-worked, are made of a synthetic resin of high density extruded polyethylene. The materials employed for the furnishing remind the most valuable natural fibres (rattan, wicker, bamboo) and offer high standard of quality.
They are durable and resistant to any atmospheric agent such as rain, salt water and their colour is UV proteted.

Characteristics | polyethylene, cannot, be damaged by water, rain and salt water; it is UV and scratch protected and resistant to any atmospheric events. It is maintenance free, easy to clean, safe, resistant and recyclable.

Atmosphera uses pure Indonesian Teak wood. The typical honey color of Teak wood together with satin stainless steel details, gives to the collection a classical and eternal appeal with modern and cozy lines. Time passing, the honey color of Teak wood becomes silvery, since the natural outside exposure implements a process of oxidation of the outer surface layer.

In order to refresh the original honey color, it’s suggested to clean the surface with water and neutral soap and to use a stiff brush to remove dirt. It‘s also recommended the application of specific oils for Teak to renew its natural softness and moisture. See Maintenance kit.

Do not use products with alcohol or acetones: the use of chemical substances could damage and spoil the surface.

Atmosphera uses stainless steel 304 that is ideal for outdoor. However, tarnishing can occur in the form of flash rust. This can be removed by using a specific cleaner. See Maintenance kit.

Regular cleaning with soapy water can help to protect the surface of the stainless steel and thus minimise the effects of chlorine, ect.
It is also advisable to wipe the frame with acid-free oil at least twice yearly to minimise tarnishing.

HPL, high pressure laminate, is a decorative laminate. HPL make up of several layers of paper impregnated of phenolic resin with resin impregnated decorative external melamminic: the one and the other are impregnated with thermosetting resins. For this composition, HPL is a material indicated for exterior table tops resisting atmospheric agents.

An aluminium plate with a texture where make up a wide range of modules and create the most suitable composition.
Main characters of this collection are modular sofas, servant tables tied to the environment, lounges and good lights.

The textile components are in textilene that is waterproof and weather resistant. Atmosphera uses only thermo-welded manufacturing system that guarantees strength and durability.
All our alluminium furniture is powder coated, color white and grey. The powder coating ensures a surface resistant to knocks and scratches.

The option is a textilene and teak binomial, noble wood. Suitable for outdoor thanks to a special treatment.
